365 project.....

So I had the best intentions to start my 365 project this year. A 365 project is where you take a picture everyday for a year. I thought this would be such a great way to help further my photography skills and creativity. Well, day one was a failure because somehow I forgot. Oh well, I guess I could have started on January 2nd but then I would be off a day so I said forget it. The likelihood that I would take a picture everyday and post it was probably not going to happen. The reality is not only am I trying to further my photography, but I also work part-time in a pediatrician's office, and I am a full time Mom to 4 kiddos. So I decided to just alter it to a project 52. I plan on taking as many pics in week as I can and I will post my favorite/favorites for the week. So look forward to me posting on the blog weekly with pics of my kids and hopefully some other stuff too! These first pics are of my youngest, and my only daughter. These sort of happened by accident as I just brought her downstairs so I could check to see how I liked the lighting by my french doors and they ended up being my favorites for the week! Of course the week is not over yet, maybe I will get a chance to post more. :)

Extended Family of 26

Rady Park, Warrenton VA
December 31, 2010

I had such a fun time meeting up with my friend and 25 of her family members! This was the largest group I had ever photographed so it was definitely a challenge but it was an awesome time. The kids all did fabulous from the oldest to the youngest. I am really happy with how it turned out and I hope they are too! Thanks "R" family!

Pretty Princess

My last session of 2010 was a beautiful little girl who is the cousin of "Baby J" He was my very first newborn shoot and we continued to capture his whole first year! Little Miss "E" was just as adorable. She loved to pose and had the prettiest smile. She definitely looked and acted just like a princess! A big thank you to her Grandmother who had me come out to take her pictures. We even got a couple outside despite the frigid temps.

Sweet sisters preview

I got to meet up with an old friend from highschool this past weekend. It was so nice to meet her family. She has some adorable little girls. Here are just a few from our session, we didn't post any family shots so we don't ruin the surprise for Christmas cards!

Family of 3, preview

I met up with this beautiful family of 3 in mid-November. They were so much fun to work with! We had an awesome day before it got too cold and while there was still a lot of fall color!

Catching up on my blog...

I have been so busy this fall that I have been neglecting my blog. I have really only posted my sneek peeks of sessions on my Facebook page. So in an effort to catch up I am posting just a few of my favorites from sessions this fall....
